What is Storm?

On our social media sites and on the website, we talk about being on Storm a lot. But do you know what that really means? When large disasters strike all over the country, it can become too much for the local SERVPRO to handle on their own. That is when Storm is activated. When the franchise realizes that they need help, SERVPRO Corporate steps in and calls in more teams from around the country to assist.

Not every franchise is able to assist on Storm. You must meet certain corporate requirements and have a certain number of employees available to send. Because we cannot predict when Storm will break out, our franchise is constantly ready to send our employees to help. We have certain machines set to the side that are ready to be loaded, and our employees are warned about the possibility of being away from their families for upon being hired. We also have a special group of employees that love going on Storm, and that know that they will be going if our franchise gets activated.

It is hard to prepare for when disaster strikes, but we strive to be as prepared as possible for that moment. We are always ready to help fellow SERVPRO franchises and help anyone in need.
