WARNING: Excessive Heat 7/18-7/21

Over the next several days, there has been an Excessive Heat Warning declared for Central Kentucky. This means that the temperature will be ranging from 100-110 degrees each afternoon, and that prolonged periods in this temperature are very dangerous. This impacts anyone who will be working, exercising or playing outdoors during this time. This also means that car interiors will be rising to lethal temperatures within minutes.
Drink plenty of water, stay out of the sun, check on your neighbors and the elderly, and either bring your pets inside or make sure they have a cool shady spot to hang out in. It is also important for all animals to have plenty of cool, fresh water. If possible, delay any outdoor activities until it has cooled down, or move them until the morning time.
Take caution over the weekend, and make sure you take note of any signs or symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke!
